Cool video of The Golden Age of Rock and Roll. Sorry i don't know how to add it the same was as above, perhaps maybe someone here can do it. Anyway, I had not see this one before.

Admin note:

HoopleToo's video will be the next entry.

Here is HoopleToo's link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPME5Jc7Nhg When you go to play it here on this site you will see that the "owner" of the video has disabled embedding. I guess he's worried about his royalties. He needs to work on his editing skills too.

To add a YouTube you will only need the code of the YouTube

Here is Ian's "When The World Was Round" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki620ZxtlMU --

All that is needed is to copy the YouTube Code (Ki620ZxtlMU) highlight it and click the YouTube button up above. If you want to make comments about the video you need to post the video, then hit reply. The YouTubes need their own posts, no additional comments will display.

PS If you go to the Ian Hunter Discussion forum I will post the "When the World Was Round" video there.

Hi, Thanks for the info. Actually I can't it to work. And the reason that the embedding was disabled is because Stever1957 is a complete PRAT, (A prat, but a prat with good videos. :mrgreen: ). Several of us at various times invited him to the IH board only to get some rather nasty answers, (he is not an IH fan, just likes Ariel Bender.... I can only imagine what his violin sounds like ;) ) Anyway, thanks for the tips.

Wow, no disrespect to Luther. I met him and he seemed like a great bloke but, choosing Luther over Ian is like choosing hamburger over steak. Both are good but one is a better cut.

Hi Twice Shy,

Boy it's quiet here. Yeah, hamburger. Same here, Luther is okay, and nothing against him, but, It is rather like saying that you would have rather seen Jim Carry play the lead role in Lawrence of Arabia, (retitled Larry of the Desert). Actually, the bone that I have to pick with Stever is that I looked up his profile, invited him to join the IH MB and mentioned that along with MTH and IH I also loved Bach, and that is was interesting to see a classically trained person into MTH etc., and not be a snob about it. I am not an idiot, (well, I have done the occasional idiotic thing, but really), I have played piano since I was 9, and I dated a concert pianist;

I dated the above guy, plus one of my dear friends, (just lives up the road) is :

Christine Brewer, the lead mezzo Soprano in this recording. So i do know a bit about the classical side of music as well as the R and R side. Anyway, I wrote a nice note inviting Stever to the MB, (if he wasn't there already), and I received the most nasty, condescending, snarky reply I have ever received from anyone for anything. AND, on top of that, he edited what I said, totally took it out of context, and posted it on his comments page. Why a simple "no, I am not interested" was not good enough, I'll never know. I saw that he repied to one of my comments, looked it up, and boy was I in shock. He was really nasty about it, plus, his editing made me look like an idiot who had no idea what I was talking about. I let it get the best of me, and wrote an even snarkier reply back, saying that if he was indeed a violin teacher, then he could not be a very good one as he changes the meanings of things, and I could not imagine him communicating with his students very well, and was intolerant of ideas that were not his. He wrote something nasty back, I followed, and I got banned from writing anything on his page. I do realize, that when I answered his first unkind reply, that i set myself up for it, and I should have never allowed myself to get into it with him. He really pissed me off. Besides, I'm sticking with my assessment of his knowledge of the violin. Based on the fact that he thinks that Luther is the Better guitarist, (he hates Ronno), all I can say is that he has a tin ear for tone, and you do need an excellent ear for violin, (another irony as Ronno began as a violinist), that he must be a terrible professor who teaches his students all the wrong things. (I'll bet they learn how to be nasty little snobs par excellance quite well though. ) BTW, I really like the Steve Howe that you added.... I went back for a couple more listens. I read where Yes just cancelled some shows for medical reasons. I know Jon Anderson was having some issues. I hope it is nothing bad.

I wrote to him too asking about MTH. He gave me the same shit but I just ignored him. He claims his interest is in Les Paul Juniors. What a dickhead.

et tu Brute???? Well, you said it best, the guy is a dick head, (and I will be a very tiny miniscule one at that). So, i guess he has been nasty to a few of us, eh? Well, all that says is that most IH MBers are thoughtful inclusive people, and he is.... what you said he is.

Did you see the 10 new youtube posts starting with Just Another Night live in NYC 1981???? It's practically an IH concert.
